Hue Citadel located in Ngo Mon Gate, center of the Hue city, is the most famous tourism attraction in Hue, with a population of imperial architecture preserving on historical relics in here, including Hoang Thanh and Tu Cam Thanh. History of Hue Citadel was built in 1804 under Gia Long King, in 1833 was completed under the period of King Minh Mang.

With brick structure, and a surface near the square, each surface is 600m, 4m high, 1m thick, surrounded by protective ditch, including 4 doors to enter, in which the main door in the South is Ngo Mon. The architecture inside the city is designed in harmony with nature with large and small lakes, flower gardens, stone bridges, bonsai trees and perennial trees that shine all year round, creating more elegant appearance of Hue Citadel.

The columns are painted with long motifs, dragon. The majority of the furnishings are decorated in the same style as the most competitive one with many poems in Chinese characters and wood elaborate carvings that leaving unforgettable memories for tourists in here.

Tu Cam Thanh Hue is the third ring in the Hue Citadel. This place is forbidden only for the king and the royal with very strict protection. The area of Tu Cam Thanh Hue is a rectangle with a circumference of about 1.229m, front and back 324m in length, two sides 290m in length, more than 3m in height, nearly 1m thick, built entirely by brick. There are no trenches in the surrounding area, with the front facing only a single door in the middle called Dai Cung Mon.
