Northern Vietnam Highlights: Hanoi – Halong Bay – Sapa 6D5N

DAY 1: HANOI ARRIVAL – CITY TOUR

Upon arrvival at Hanoi airport, you will be welcomed and transferred to hotel by our driver. Guide pick up for visit Hanoi city including Temple of Literature – the first University in Vietnam. Continue to visit Memory house, the 87 Ma May house is a classic example of late 19th-century housing in Hanoi’s Old Quarter. It was renovated by a UNESCO-funded organization to a close approximation of its original condition. Many houses in the Old Quarter are known as “tube houses” since they can be as long as 70 meters and as narrow as two meters–this developed as an attempt to minimize taxes, as each property was taxed according to the width of the street-facing facade. To allow for sufficient light in these narrow dwellings, it was necessary to design multiple courtyards along the length of each house. Although the 87 Ma May house is comparatively wide, it was designed along the same principals. Lunch at local restaurant, afternoon take a Cyclo tour around Hoan Kiem lake and Old quarters, continue to visit Dong Xuan market, this is the biggest market of Hanoi on the North part of Old quarters was constructed in 1889. End tour with a-hour traditional water puppet show. Transfer back to Hanoi hotel. Overnight in Hanoi.

DAY 2: HANOI – SAPA – TREKKING TO CAT CAT VILLAGE (B,L)

6.30 – 7.00: Pick up from your hotel/stay, get on big bus and depart for Sapa. 9.30: Follow the highway to Lao Cai city with the first comfort breaks

11.00: Second comfort break at Lao Cai city before approaching Sapa

13.00: Arrive Sapa Town with colorful traditional costumes of H’mong, Dzao, Tay ethnic People. – Welcome drink and itinerary briefing – Enjoy the lunch with local Vietnamese dishes, check-in procedures

14.30: A short drive to the gate of Cat Cat village which is home of Black H’mong ethnic people and is located near the bottom of a deep valley at the foot of Fansipan Peak. Our local guide will show you the daily life activities of the locals, trek down to the valley bottom to the waterfall where the French built a Hydraulic Power Station; stop for photo with bridge and waterfall then you will walk uphill for bus to pick up to get back to Sapa in the afternoon. Trekking distance is about 2.5 kms and it lasts for 2 hours

17.00: Come back to Sapa Town. We recommend good local restaurants for your dinner on your own, overnight in hotel with night activities.

DAY 3: SAPA – TREKKING TO Y LINH HO – LAO CHAI – TA VAN – RETURN TO HANOI (B)

7.00 – 7.45: Have breakfast at hotel and prepare light pack for trekking

8.00: A short drive to Y Linh Ho then trek through the rice terraces and along Muong Hoa Stream to the Black Hmong village of Lao Chai to see the spectacular landscape of Hoang Lien Son Mountain after that heading to Ta Van village – home of Dzay ethnic people. Trekking distance is about 9 kms and it lasts for 3.5 hours

11.30: Bus picks you up at Ta Van Bridge to Sapa.

12.00 – 15.00: Have a shower at hotel, check out and have lunch and time at leisure on your own.

15.00: Meet all group members at hotel to get ready for Hanoi.

15.15: Get on bus to go back to Hanoi with two comfort breaks.

21.15: Trip ends at your hotel. Overnight in Hanoi

DAY 4: HANOI – HALONG BAY (B,L,D)

Morning breakfast before pick up at around 7:45-8am and transfer from your hotel to Halong Bay. Arrive to Halong at noon and get on our traditional wooden boat/cruise. Enjoy your time for relaxing, sightseeing and swimming. Visit the Floating Fishing village and swimming if the weather permits. Meals are including. Overnight in cosy cabin.

DAY 5: HALONG BAY – HANOI (B,L)

You’ll wake up on the bay to the sounds of waves and birds welcoming the new day. You will have an opportunity to view the sunrise over the bay and after breakfast, visit a beautiful limestone grotto. Then you will have a walk back to the boat for a final glimpse of Halong Bay while cruising back to the dock. Then bus drive back to Hanoi, drop off at hotel. Overnight in Hanoi.

DAY 6: HANOI DEPARTURE (B)

Morning breakfast then free shopping then transfer to airport for your onward flight. End of the tour.
