Located in Con Son, Con Dao Island, Ba Ria Vung Tau, nearly international maritime lane, White stone lighthouse is the frontal line of the country connecting Vung Tau, Ho Chi Minh City and the southwestern coasts, acting as a landmark in the sea to ensure the safety and security of international vessels. From Con Dao lying far from the mainland 97 nautical mile is the sacred land of the Fatherland, the White stone lighthouse is located on the Seaside island about 30 minutes from Con Dao center, by canoes, tourists will see the mysterious seven-horn lighthouse. Situated in a convenient location on the East Sea, Con Dao white stone lighthouse was soon known as the important strategic location after the French sovereignty in Con Dao.

The seven-sided lighthouse impresses tourists with its 212 m in height that contains three sides in the East-West of Vietnam built with a height of 16 m and 26.7 nautical miles at night. There are 4 floors inside the lighthouse tower with spiral staircases made of wire rope with 55 steps, a backup light except in case of main light failure. In addition to navigational guidance, the seven-sided lighthouse also contributed to protecting the largest marine turtle conservation area in Con Dao from the war.
Beside the impressive rock road leading from the foot of the mountain to the white stone lighthouse, one of remarkable thing about the white stone lighthouse is the story related to prisoners uprising from the early days of the lighthouse construction. Seven prisoners from the war founded a detention center of about 150 prisoners who were patriotic soldiers joined the anti-French resistance camp in the South and they were mobilized to build this lighthouse. However, with the patriotism and the desire to liberate themselves, the prisoners decided to revolt.

Otherwise, the sandy beach at the foot of the seven-sided lighthouse is the natural paradise, of which the most prominent is the activity of preserving sea turtles with the largest number of turtles laying eggs in Vietnam. In every July, sea turtles from Phu Quoc, Binh Thuan, Phu Quoc, Kien Giang, Truong Sa, Khanh Hoa and Malaysia, Indonesia islands return to the lagoon to lay their eggs. Eighty percent of these eggs will hatch into juvenile offspring, which will be released into the sea. Not only preserving sea turtles, sea space at the foot of the seven-sided lighthouse is also planned by Con Dao to be an ecologically recovering area, protecting coral reefs in here.
