Tour Program

Day 1: Hanoi arrival
You will be warmly welcome upon arrival Hanoi airport and transferred to your hotel. Free at the rest of the day. Meals are on your own. Overnight in Hanoi

Day 2: Hanoi city tour (B,L)
Morning pick up and enjoy a full day Hanoi city tour including Ho Chi Minh complex ( Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Ho Chi Minh Museum, The Presidential Palace, House on stilt and One Pillar Pagoda). Continue to visit the Temple of Literature – the First University of Vietnam. Lunch in a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, visit one of the most interesting museums in Hanoi – The Vietnam Museum of Ethnology. It is not only a valuable centre for the exhibition and the preservation of cultural heritages of the 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam but also a centre for ethnographic research employing many experts on the different ethnic groups. People come to the Museum just not to visit or entertain, but also to learn about these ethnic groups, their cultural diversity and the uniqueness of each group and region, as well as traditional values throughout the Vietnamese country.

Return to Hanoi center for an hour walking tour around Hanoi Old Quarter to discover the daily life of Hanoian. Return to your hotel. Dinner is on your own and overnight in Hanoi

Day 3: Hanoi – Halong (B,L,D)
After breakfast, pick up and transfer from your hotel to Halong Bay. Arrive to Halong at noon and get on our traditional wooden boat/cruise. Enjoy your time for relaxing, sightseeing and swimming. Visit the Floating Fishing village and swimming if the weather permits. Meals are including. Overnight on board.

Day 4: Halong – Hanoi (B,L)
You’ll wake up on the bay to the sounds of waves and birds welcoming the new day. You will have an opportunity to view the sunrise over the bay and after breakfast, visit a beautiful limestone grotto. Then you will have a walk back to the boat for a final glimpse of Halong Bay while cruising back to the dock. Then you will drive back to Hanoi and stay overnight. Dinner is on your own. Overnight in Hanoi

Day 5: Hanoi – Hue (B,L)
Morning transfer to Noi Bai airport for your flight to Hue. Upon arrival at Phu Bai Airport you will be transferred directly to your hotel. In the afternoon you will embark on a tour of the city, including the Citadel and the Forbidden Purple City, the Imperial Museum and Dong Ba market. Dinner and you will stay overnight in Hue.

Day 6: Hue – Hoi An (B,L)
Morning enjoy your breakfast in the hotel before starting to discover the ancient capital city. You first board a private boat for cruising on the romantic Perfume River, visit Thien Mu Pagoda & the ornate Minh Mang’s tomb. Lunch at local restaurant.

In the afternoon, leave the UNESCO-designated World Heritage Hue for transfer to Hoi An. We will travel over the Hai Van pass, stop in Danang for a visit to the Cham Museum and handicraft villages on the foot of Marble Mountain before arriving in Hoi An. Once in Hoi An, we will check into our hotel and have some free time to explore the town. Dinner is on your own. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 7: Hoian – My Son – Hoi An (B)
In the morning, our guide will come to meet you at your hotel for the transfer to My Son, a World Heritage, 50 km southwest of Hoi An. Located in a lush valley, My Son was a capital and religious center of Cham people, now remaining with red brick towers and sanctuaries. My Son, considered to be in the same league as some of Southeast Asia’s greatest archaeological sites, including Angkor in Cambodia, Bagan in Myanmar, Ayutthaya in Thailand and Borobudur in Indonesia. These towers and sanctuaries was built from the 7 to 13 centuries. Spend times to discover this area and return to Hoian town at noon.

Free at the rest of the day for your shopping or discover the ancient town. Meals are on your own. Overnight in Hoian

Day 8: Hoi An – flight to Saigon – Saigon city tour (B)
Morning transfer to the airport for your flight to Saigon. Upon arrive to Saigon, we enjoy a day tour to visit the most beautiful places in this area including Notre Dame Cathedral, the historic Central Post Office, followed by exploring the Reunification Palace, and the remarkable site of the War Remnants Museum. Lunch in a local restaurant. Dinner is on your own and overnight in Saigon

Day 9: Saigon – Mekong River Delta – Saigon (B,L)
Morning pick up at your hotel for the transfer to Mekong River Delta. Enjoy the scenic journey along the National Highway bordered by green rice fields.
On arrived at My Tho, visit Vinh Trang pagoda, take a leisurely boat ride along the river, view the stilt houses, fruit plantations and fishing villages along the river bank. Proceed to Tortoise islet, have lunch in the orchard garden. Then a boat ride to An Khanh – a less touristy attraction in Ben Tre, enjoy cruising on a hand-rowed sampan under the shadow of the water coconut trees along natural canals, then enjoy seasonal fruit& honey tea to the sound of “Southern Vietnamese folk music”, performed by locals.

Visit a family business which epitomizes the idyllic rural lifestyle, taste the delicious coconut candy& observe the pastoral life as you roam through the fruit plantation and village. Meet the bus and return to Saigon. This trip provides a fascinating insight into daily life in the Mekong Delta and you are guaranteed to take home your own private collection of beautiful memories. Drop off at your hotel. Dinner is on your own. Overnight in Saigon

Day 10: Saigon – Cu Chi – Cao Dai Temple – Saigon (B)
Morning pick up for the transfer to Cao Dai – The Great Holy See Temple, built in 1926, is considered one of the most striking structures in all of South-East Asia. It is the headquarters of the unique Cao Dai sect, a religion with a hybrid of Buddhism, Christianity & Confucianism. Above the entrance is the all-seeing holy eye – symbol of the sect. Visitors will attend the midday ceremony’s extravaganza to witness the daily mass held by the Cao Dai followers which is a fantastic experience.

After lunch, proceed to Cu Chi to explore the amazing site where Viet Cong hid during the War. It is now a popular spot for both Vietnamese & foreign tourists – the network of over 200km of tunnels became legendary when they played a vital role in the War. In their heyday, the tunnels were functioning underground cities including numerous trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers & kitchens. There is plenty of evidence of the fierce battle that took place here during the 1960s when Cu Chi was a “Free Target Zone”. Visitors can watch a short introductory video showing how the tunnels were constructed before entering the tunnels. Spend the next hour exploring the tunnels. Afterwards, enjoy tea, cassava (guerrilla’s food in war time). Return to SaiGon. Drop off at your hotel. Dinner is on your own. Overnight in Saigon

Day 11 – Saigon flight to Siem Reap (B)
Morning transfer to the airport for your flight to Siemreap. Arrive to Siemreap, our driver and local guide will wait for you then transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day for free. Dinner is on your own. Overnight in Siemreap

Day 12: Angkor Thom & Angkor Wat Temples (B,L)
Morning visit Angkor Thom (the Great City) including the Sough Gate, famous Bayon temple (12th century in the center of city remains one the most enigmatic temples of the Angkor group, composed of 54 gothic towers decorated with 216 smiling faces of Avalokitesvara; Baphuon temple lying just to the north of Bayon, a pyramidal representation of mythical Mont Meru; Terrasse of Elephants used as a giant reviewing stand for public ceremonies and served as a base for the king’s grand audience hall ; Terrace of the Leper King, a plateform 7m high, on the top stands a nude, though sexless statue; Phimean Akas temple means “Celestial Palace”, dedicated to Hinduism. Lunch at local restaurant.

In the afternoon, discovery the wonderful Angkor Wat temple, a part of world heritage, built in the first half of the 12th century dedicated to Vishnu, the largest and undoubtedly the most breathtaking monuments of Angkor group and also the best preserved is an architectural masterpiece; Phnsom Bakheng (mountain temple) a natural stone mountain, then watching the sunset view on Angkor Wat and on the other sites. Return to your hotel in Siemreap. Dinner is on your own. Overnight in Siemreap.

Day 13: Phnom Kulen and the Ben Mealea Temple (B)
This morning you will drive to the rice fields (in the wet season) and friendly local villages to Phnom Kulen, an impressive sandstone plateau in this otherwise flat area. The mountain is considered the birthplace of the Khmer empire and a sacred place for the Khmer who come in droves on the weekends. Upon arrival at the top of Phnom Kulen, picnic lunch will be prepared as you will discover stone carvings in a riverbed and visit several hidden pagodas. One of the main attractions is a waterfall where you can take a refreshing bath. Enjoy the stunning view of the plains before descending and returning to Siem Reap for lunch.

After lunch you will continue tour to quiet Beng Mealea, around 65 km from Siem Reap. Enjoy a short walk through the dense jungle and feel like an explorer when you discover the completely overgrown temple. Undiscovered for centuries, Beng Mealea is one of the very few temples that actually give the opportunity to climb through it giving a very ‘Indiana Jones’ feel to the experience. Dinner is on your own. Overnight in Siemreap

Day 14: Siem Reap Departure (B)
Free until time for your transfer to the airport for your flight back home. Trip ends.
