Around 8.30am, today excursion to Bago about 1.5hours drive, Kyaikkhawine Monastery where a thousand monks living in this monastery (We can arrange to donate for lunch to the monks and the Buddhist monks requisites). Buddhist monks, however, eat only two meals a day. The sixth of the ten basic precepts that order monastic life is to abstain from taking “untimely” meals – with “timely” defined as between dawn and noon. So, the last meal of the day, at 11:00 am, is an important one.
The Kanbawzathardi palace of King Bayinnaung is some of the places of interests and then proceed to Kyaikhtiyo. Kyaikhtiyo is a major pilgrimage site for Buddhists.
Shwetharlyaung Reclining Buddha which has a length of 55 metres (180 ft) and a height of 16 metres (52 ft), is believed to have been built in 994, and Shwe Maw Daw Pagoda at 375 feet (114 m) in height, the Shwemawdaw holds the record for the tallest pagoda in the country although the Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon is usually credited as the tallest pagoda in Myanmar (at 98 metres).
Arrive in Yangon, transfer to hotel and relax for the day. Tour ends
