Tour Program

Day 1. Arrive Yangon
Upon your arrival at Yangon Airport, your guide will meet you and transfer to hotel.

In the afternoon, enjoy the water front of busy Yangon River brief public ferry ride and after a stroll at the Maha Bandoola Park to see colonial-style high court and city hall, head to the lively Indian Town and Chinatown. Explore Bogyoke (Scott) Market to see Myanmar’s wide range of handicrafts and exotic souvenirs

In the evening, enjoy the sunset to the Great Shwedagone Pagoda built the most prominent monument in Yangon which dominates the sky with golden flash, giant spires and holy relics.

Day 2. Explore Yangon (Breakfast)
Explore Yangon’s colonial buildings and parks and then head out to Twante, a pottery village known for producing some of Myanmar’s best terracotta works. Have a go at producing your own clay souvenir.

Day 3. Fly to Bagan and explore temples (Breakfast)
Upon arrival in Bagan, start your temple tour with a horse and cart ride around Nyaung U market, the largest market in the region. Explore cottage industries and a selection of temples such as the gilded Shwezigon Stupa, Kyansitha – a cave temple – and Ananda temple with its four standing Buddhas. Enjoy a sunset cruise along the Ayerwaddy River.

Day 4. Mount Popa – Local village (Breakfast)
Drive to Mount Popa where you will have the opportunity to climb the 777 steps to the shrine at the top of the peak. In the afternoon we visit a family run toddy shop where you can observe the process of making caramel candies from the sap of toddy palms.
On the way back, stop at Set Set Yoe Village where the young boys and girls are wearing the traditional hair style (classic hair style).

Day 5. Cycle tour of Bagan’s temples (Breakfast)
Cycle into the ancient Kingdom of Bagan, first stopping at Myingaba village to learn how Bagan’s famous lacquerware crafts are produced. Continue to Myingaba Gubyaukgi Temple which houses Bagan’s best preserved mural paintings, enjoy panoramic views of Bagan from Dhamayazeka Zedi and proceed to Shwesandaw Pagoda to watch the sunset over the Ayerwaddy River.

Day 6. Fly to Heho and drive to Inle Lake (Breakfast)
Visit the main market in Heho and on the way to Inle Lake, stop and learn how Shan umbrellas are made. Descend through the beautiful hills of Shan State to Inle Lake and visit Phaungdaw Oo Pagoda, home to some of the country’s most sacred Buddha statues covered in gold leaf.

Day 7. Boat trip to Indein Pagoda (Breakfast)
Head off by boat down a small river and then walk through bamboo groves to the Indein Pagoda complex, a field covered with ancient pagodas built over 1,000 years ago. Stop off at a conservation centre for Burmese felines.

In the afternoon, visit to Khaung Daing village famous for Tofu making and other traditional snacks. Then explore to Hot-spring, if you interest you can enjoy the hot-spring by own payment.

Day 8. Fly to Yangon and explore the city (Breakfast)
Explore Yangon starting with Lawka Chanthar – the world’s biggest marble Buddha. Visit Bogyoke Market to find the best souvenir of Myanmar, continue round the quaint Yangon Old Quarter, visit a local pharmacy to learn about Myanmar traditional medicine and enjoy walking in the Kandawgyi Garden.

Day 9. Departure (Breakfast)
Enjoy the morning at your leisure until your transfer to Yangon International Airport for your flight home.
