Vang Vieng is not only famous for various river games but also cconcluding many beautiful caves. Tham Chang cave is one of the most beautiful and elegant caves in Vang Vieng, Laos.

How to get to Tham Chang Cave:

You can go along the river road which is in the south of Meuang Xong village. After that, you can go through the gate of Vang Vieng Resort by paying entrance fee. Then, you go across the bridge over Nam Xong followed by the footsteps leading to the cliff. Finally, you will find Tham Chang cave.
For migrating people, Tham Chang was used to their home. That is the reason explain why Tham Chang cave is important to Lao people. These migrating people are who lived nex to the Meuang Xong Village for rising vegetable. Consequently, this cave was named due to its high which is an ideal view of Vang Vieng. Thenceforward, they renamed this cave become Tham Jung (or Tham Chang) meaning: “cannot move”.

Attractiveness of Tham Chang cave

When walking across the bridge, looking to the left; you will see the way to get to the cave. Tham Chang cave is extremely tranquil, which needed to be explored by the visitors. Water inside the cave is crystal blue and transparent. A great view that you may have chance to see is the shining Buddha statue.

What to see in Tham Chang cave:

There is a pool near the entrance gate where you can swim or dump into the warm water. Furthermore, you can have a picnic in a patch of grass. You can enjoy the beautiful landscape of peaceful countryside in another path. Then, it leads to various small compartments which makes it easy to take photos. You should not forget to see an elephant, a monk’s chair and a hole where a naga living. Additionally, there is a stalactite for you to wish.
