Scenic mountains and forests, mysterious natural caves, spectacular waterfalls are natural ecotourism you cannot ignore when visiting Laos. Tad Somphamit is also known as Li Phi falls. Li Phi falls is the most powerfull waterfall in Don Khon, in conjunction with Khone Phapheng Falls. Eventhough Li Phi fall is one of the most impressive falls in Pake; Li Phi fall has retained its own elegant and romantic beauty. Because of its comfortable and pleasant air, Li Phi fall has been scrutinized as the beach of Li Phi. Actually, its real neam is Somphamit; but in Laos, it is commonly known as Li Phi. A half mile distance from the bridge connecting Don Det and Don Khon islands; Li Phi falls are situated in the western direction of Don Khon island. During the rainy season or at the end of monsoon are some time spots that you can admire the majestic and wonderful falls.
You should remember to be careful if you want to visit Li Phi falls, especially in rainy season. Because the paths will be really damp and glistening; you must be precautious to ensure the safety for yourself. Beside this, please abide with the signposts and warning signs strictly. Furthermore, you can bring with you a long firm stick in the event of you will need to use it supporting moving. Two sides of waterfall edges are green trees which are really cool. There is also a wodden bridge over the river.
You should not jostle, or carry heavy things when crossing the bridge. After visiting the waterfalls, go to the Li Phi beach. Although the water here is not green and clear, but you may feel like you are swimming in a countryside river.
